The Vertigo of the Theatre show an almost unique way through one of the most typical and significant aspects of Italian culture and society: that of the country’s historic theatres.   Many of these buildings staged the premières of the operas at which people listened, sang, hoped and, when all is said and done, constructed a new Italy over the course of the 19th century.   Photographs by Lelli e Masotti.
